February Newsletter
Costumes looked great! All the dancers received their costumes during January and we are going to have a beautiful recital!! Recital is only 4 months away! Please see Carol Ann at Dance Etc. for all your costume alterations, tights, shoes, and anything else for your dance recital!
A huge Thank You to all of the students and parents that helped with the Clothes Drive. The Salvation Army couldn’t believe how many clothes we collected! Thanks to you, we had a lobby full of clothes and shoes that are much needed in Haiti! All donations were appreciated! Another big Thanks to everyone who helped load the Salvation Army truck! I know they appreciated our help :)
The Performing Arts Troupe is getting ready to go! The students (and teachers) are working hard to finish choreography and clean the routines so they are perfect when they hit the stage for the first competition in Durham March 12-14! The “premier” for the 2010 competition routines will be February 28 and I would like to invite all the PSD familes to come see our new rountines! There are 3 big productions this year! “The Beat Goes On’ presented by the Small Frys, “All Shook Up” presented by the Juniors, and “Chicago” presented by the Seniors!
Courtney Laughter was crowned Hendersonvilles Outstanding Teen! She will make the 4th Outstanding Teen from Pat’s School of Dance! We have the best Teens at our studio! Courtney has quite a journey in front of her and we will be cheering her on when she dances at the NC Outstanding Teen Pageant in June! (The week after recital!) It will be a busy month for Courtney! Courtney assists with the Tuesday 4:30 Hip Hop and Tuesday 5;15 Tap class. I’m sure it will be especially exciting for her students!
